What to Expect at Your Fitting
The first fitting is used to assess the dress on the body, note seam allowances, and confirm what can be adjusted safely. Because each garment is different, the final scope is set only after inspection.
Common requests include hem and train adjustment, bodice and strap refitting, and bustle or fastening changes. For bridal gowns, we can also plan staged fittings when the garment needs more than one round of adjustment.
Clear steps, careful adjustments, and a final fit check before collection.
For bridal and occasionwear alterations, every appointment starts with the garment itself. We review construction, discuss the requested fit, and outline the work before anything is approved.
After the review, you receive a written alteration scope with the proposed steps and deadlines. If extra work becomes necessary, it is only carried out after approval, so the agreed design stays under control.
Collection includes a final fit check. Small finishing adjustments may be handled then if needed, and care and pressing notes are provided so the garment is ready for the event.
